If you are in the field of nursing, social work or public health, we invite you to share your talents in an area of the world where such skills are desperately needed — at the Shepherd’s Hospice Sierra Leone.

A volunteer assignment in Sierra Leone is more than just an opportunity to provide care and compassion to those in need; it’s sure to be a life-changing experience. Volunteers are immersed in a culture that is vastly different from their own, meet many beautiful and brave people, and make a difference in the lives of terminal patients in the world’s poorest areas.

The Shepherd’s Hospice will provide accommodation in Freetown and a monthly food/drink allowance for all volunteers*. Aspiring volunteers and volunteer groups may contact the Shepherd’s Hospice for assistance with fundraising for the trip, and are encouraged to also raise their own funds in addition to support we provide. Volunteers must be able to pay for travel, vaccination and insurance.

Volunteers are always welcome and sorely needed in Sierra Leone. No matter the length of time you have available for your assignment, please consider the Shepherd’s Hospice Sierra Leone.
